Biofeedback Catheters
The Ashley, Bolton, Bovingdon & Langley Biofeedback Catheters

Physiotherapists and other practitioners specialising in lower bowel dysfunction now have a range of specialist catheters designed for the treatment of fecal incontinence and related disorders.

These catheters are custom-designed for easy and effective pressure biofeedback therapy and retraining.

The Ashley2 Catheter  (ARC 2415/10, ARC 2415/100)

The Ashley2 has a 400mm PVC tube section fitted with a large, non-latex polyisoprene balloon for maximum physiological compliance, which may be inflated up to 600ml if needed. A 3-way tap is fitted to the proximal end of the catheter, to enable easy and controlled inflation/deflation in stages.

Ashley2 Catheters are available in a box of 10, individually peel-pouched, or 100x bulk-packed for easy handling in a busy clinic.

The Bolton Catheter (ARC 2105)

Designed for anorectal pressure biofeedback retraining, the Bolton Catheter has 2000mm Ch6 PVC tubing to enable rapid inflation, deflation and response and is fitted with a luer connector and 3-way tap.

The catheter has a green neoprene balloon and comes fitted with a 100mm stiffened introducer to enable easy insertion by either the practitioner or the patient and a moveable silicone flange for easy placement.

The Bovingon Catheter  (ARC 2470)

The Bovingdon Catheter is suitable for both intra-vaginal and anorectal pressure biofeedback training.

The 70mm shaped silicone balloon is fitted to a 400mm catheter tube, and a proximal 3-way tap. The balloon may be inflated with air or water up to a capacity of 500ml.

The Bovingdon ARC catheter is available in a box of 20, individually peel-pouched.

The Langley Biofeedback Catheter  (ARC 2205)

This biofeedback catheter has two balloons fixed in tandem on one 2-channel shaft, each connected to a 1500mm color-coded pressure line. Each line is Ch6 and fitted with a 3-way tap to enable rapid inflation and deflation.  A moveable silicone flange ensures the catheter will not ingress further into the bowel once placed by the practitioner.

The Langley Biofeedback Catheter is specially designed to assist the practitioner with certain specific biofeedback practices: sphincter resting and squeeze pressures, and measurement of sensitivity threshold and monitoring progress whilst teaching sphincter re-education exercises.
