Stericom offers two different categories of dilators:

DILASTOM – supplied in a patient-box of two differently shaped dilators for the treatment of stoma stenosis. One dilator is smooth conical, the other stepped.

The box of two dilators will treat the patient for life: if used regularly twice a day by the patient, the need for surgical refashioning may be avoided.

Dilastom is extremely popular with stoma nurses in the UK, and has become the product of choice for proven effective treatment of post-operative stoma stenosis.

DILATAN PLUS – cryothermal dilators for the management of fissures, pain, early-stage haemorrhoids and other anal pathologies.

Dilatan is made from hard white plastic and contains a cryothermal gel which retains heat, enabling the product to be used warm or cold to ensure application to the pathology is more effective.

The dilators are available in different diameter sizes, and use with Dilatan adjuvant cream is recommended. For this reason, Dilatan is supplied as a patient-treatment pack containing both dilators and tubes of cream.
